Via Benedictina – Benedictine heritage in Central Europe

Aim of the project is to create the route „Via Benedictina” presenting benedictine monasteries (current and former) in Central Europe. Integration of different centers researching and promoting  benedictine heritage in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary is the main objective of the project.

3-4.04.2014 – Seminar in Braumov

The goal of the Seminar in Broumov is to exchange experiences between scholars of the Benedictine heritage (historians, art historians, archaeologists) and monastery representatives.  It is an opportunity to see what the main objects of research are and how to create space for transboundary research taking into consideration common features of monasteries in this part of Europe. The seminar will also serve to exchange experiences in promoting Benedictine heritage among tourists and developing a good information base for them.

08.2014 – the results of the photo contest

09.2014 – opening of the exhibition at the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec, promotion of the new page viabenedictina.eu. The exhibition will travel after the end of the project.
